SEZ «Alabuga» has signed a multilateral agreement at the international forum Kazan Digital Week 2023

At the Kazan Digital Week 2023 international forum, a multilateral agreement was officially signed between the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, the Federal Autonomous Institution Rosdornii, the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan, Glavtatdortrans and the State Budgetary Institution for Road Safety.

The agreement is supposed to further cooperation in the creation of a pilot zone on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan to provide an opportunity to conduct experiments and approbation of intelligent transport systems and technologies that ensure the movement of highly automated vehicles.

The pilot zone is being created on the territory of SEZ «Alabuga» and adjacent sections of the highway «Yelabuga-Gari-Abalach».

It is planned to test all types and models of highly automated vehicles on the roads of the pilot zone, as well as to practice their interaction with the road infrastructure of intelligent transportation systems, high-precision positioning systems and a digital dynamic map of road traffic.

As a reminder, a year earlier an agreement on the creation of a pilot zone was signed between Timur Shagivaleev, Director General of SEZ Alabuga, and Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the State Budgetary Institution for Road Safety.

All types and models of automated motilities will be tested on the roads of the pilot zone, as well as their interaction with the road transportation infrastructure. Based on the results of the experiments, scientific and methodological, regulatory and technical bases will be created.
